  11. Hello, I just read Ward Shrake's document on getting
  12. VIC20 carts to disk. I have an idea on making
  13. it a bit easier and safer. 
  14. Cut the blk5 wire that goes to the cartport,
  15. and connect a switch like this:

  26. pin 2 to blk5 on the cart port
  27. pin 1 to blk5 before the cut
  28. pin 3 to +5V DC

  30. This way, you can disable the cart at bootup,
  31. and enable it later to save the contents to
  32. disk. I haven't tried this yet, since I'm away
  33. from home for quite a while. :(
